@NerdyNarrative_ I clicked "will not be reviewing" (along with another one that apparently has been there for a year...) I just don't have time to put something entirely unknown from an author I don't know ahead of everything else I have right now and certainly don't need to be on anyone's clock.

well, going to have to return the trade paperback of Midnight Tides and read it on kindle. Originally was 900+ pages but they reduced font size so it fits on 600 pages. Awesome, except I can't read it. Meh. I want to be 30 again.

@2Goals17Sec I can't really compare it to the Expanse. There are some similarities to the earlier books having a relatively small cast, but the writing itself it just really unique. At least it was for me.

@ChrisGabel1 let me know what you think! each book is so different than the former, but it's all one story

I also recommend not taking extended breaks between the books. The characters have unique names and I struggled between books 2 and 3 to remember who's who. Couple weeks, cool - months, not so much.

@Zepp1978 I think the more fantasy books one has read, the more they will appreciate the uniqueness of this series. Each book being less than 350 pages is nuts because they are packed. Brilliant character writing.
