Basically every VC networking event. The pseudo-intellectuals who eagerly flocked were, perhaps, even more depressing. They didn't enjoy investing, thinking didn't interest them, and all the boredom they inflicted on themselves was reflected in their faces. Their only concern was with the personalities they invented for themselves and the success of their careers, and they frequented one another only to envy each other at close range.
