These threads always boil down to men shaming women and girls for getting "fat." So there's always an argument between men spouting oversimplified bad advice, vs. women. It's not about health. Fatphobia is a tool of sexism.

The physical disability didn't scare me, the chance of cancer death didn't scare me, it was the threat of being in the street. Because I'm also a rape survivor. Nothing is more scary to me than street homeless.
