All I want to do is advance research on emotion regulation experiences for my community. I just want to help my community have better mental health outcomes, but I genuinely do not know if I have another cycle in me. I don’t know if I want to pick myself up and try again.

Across 2 cycles, I’ve been rejected from 25 programs. Clinical Psych PhD programs are just way too competitive to get into nowadays.
A lot of people posting about PhD rejections would be shocked by the rejection rates in clinical psych PhD programs

Lots of conversation about Kent State and Jackson State but not enough talk about the 600 National Guard members and hundreds of police who stormed North Carolina A&T in 1969, they shot into Scott Hall, teared gassed, and terrorized students for protesting.
