@Crisopera1 I love this movie and it's easily the highlight even with MacLaine not being in it. The invention, the wry humour of it, the technique - wow.

@MarkEllis15 For a moment, I thought there was AI involved, but it does look convincing. Got to love the guy who keeps saying "Stay calm!"

@MeanStreetsPC Makes a *little* more sense in the uncut 3 ep version, but when I watched it with my dad as a kid we couldn't make heads or tails of it. We chalked it up to the screenwriter trying to be modern. Years later, I read the book and went "If only Dad was here - it was Hammett!"

@Barry_Cinematic @CaptKarnstein After reading the Captain's ALT and seeing this, I couldn't resist: MINER: "Are you crazy? Don't go into the hell mouth!" PANICKED PASSENGER: "Go into the hell mouth? Are you crazy?"

@LostInFilm @reghud I knew Wong Kar-wai had filmed enough footage for three films but this is the first bit I saw that shows how different a film IN THE MOOD FOR LOVE could have been. Movies are truly made in the editing room.

@ironicteachings @krazykeithrules "Bond. James Bond." One thing about growing up in the 80s that later generations just can't grasp is Tom Hanks being a hilarious young comedian.

@d4doome @ThatBobMadison Also proof positive that you don't have to do a comic book accurate portrayal of a character to make it great. Just need a fine script, a fab actor, and to capture the character's *spirit* above all. Daniel Waters, Michelle Pfeiffer and Tim Burton got it.

@MarkEllis15 @TheCinesthetic Thank you so much! Will read it! Here’s the one I have my Lom-like character in:

@MarkEllis15 @TheCinesthetic Fabulous! I'd love to read that. It's a fantastic movie. Closest noir ever came to Greek tragedy, imo. And yes, very inspiring. I kind of based a character in one of mine on Herbert Lom's from NIGHT AND THE CITY.

@MarkWil67206795 @DanielHood4 I didn't know about INCUBUS until a couple of years ago. Fantastic, underrated movie. ZOLTAN THE HOUND OF DRACULA is one of the worst movies I've ever seen - and I mean that in the best possible way. Excellent haul, indeed!
