@bloatinus @on_da_spectrum Honestly Fleet foxes would probably be a top 5 American band of the last 25 years for me too lol. If we’re talking hits, Two Weeks was just as big as white winter hymnal. I think you’re either in love with their sound or not honestly but IMO their discography is nearly flawless

However, while both those bands have individual songs I love, neither of them have made an album that’s as cohesive as Imaginal Disk (which is doubly impressive with how long it is)

@metaplexmovies I agree that it’s reductive to write off the whole film just because it has obvious references to Kubrick, Cronenberg etc but it does make it harder for me to see it as the “breath of fresh air” it’s marketed as when it leans SO much on those references
