So since a particular moron on this platform has seen fit to create a new reason for people to dislike the SIG P320 and the usual clueless people are repeating it without questioning it or his methods…I feel the need to speak up. I apologize in advance for the lack of pictures or video. I am not a famous online influencer or celebrity that people follow and hang on my every word as I type or speak it. I’m just a regular guy who enjoys SIGs. By now we’ve all seen the @chairmanwon video where he manages to break the ejector on a SIG P320. This is based on, I believe, a video by @p80ralph and his P320 FLUX Raider. The video of @p80ralph seems to outline a genuine failure of the P320, most likely the result of an out-of-spec FCU or tolerance stacking. The video produced by @chairmanwon was achieved by intentionally bypassing the two anti-overinsertion measures taken by SIG that will prevent this from happening under normal real world conditions. I will address the two measures separately. First off he kept the magazine release depressed for the entire magazine swap. He even admits that he does this. Under normal real world conditions you will hit the magazine release and let it go after the mag drops free. Then when you insert the replacement mag the release will snap into place and lock the magazine in place. This is important for two reasons - it prevents the magazine from falling out (obviously) and it stops a magazine that may not have the other overinsertion measures present from overinserting and damaging the ejector. The second measure is the magazine baseplate. The baseplate is designed as another overinsertion measure. Unfortunately this measure can also be bypassed by using a poorly designed aftermarket magazine that lacks the properly designed baseplate or by using an OEM magazine that is too long for the grip module and lacks a sleeve to interface with the grip module and prevent overinsertion. I attempted to recreate this issue with my P320 XTEN Comp and my P320 X5 Legion. I was unable to recreate this problem when using properly sized or sleeves OEM magazines, including 21- and 30-round magazines. I held in the magazine release and slammed those magazines in repeatedly like the gun owed me money - and the magazine body never once touched the ejector. However by holding in the magazine release and using an incorrect length magazine I was able to insert the magazine too far and tap the ejector (lightly, because I’m not going to intentionally damage my own gun). So in short the only way to damage your gun in this fashion, assuming your FCU is in spec and your tolerances aren’t stacked, is to intentionally bypass not one, but both anti-overinsertion measures SIG used in this particular platform. If you hold in the magazine release and use a properly length or sleeved magazine you will not damage the ejector. If you do not hold in the magazine release and use a magazine that is too long or unsleeved you will not damage the ejector. Only by holding in the magazine release AND using a magazine that is too long or unsleeved will you damage the ejector.

@OGSpiceGhost @zhao_dashuai We got a lot newer stuff than that. Even back when I was enlisted in the Navy from 99-09 as a FC. We still used Harpoon when I was in, but our missiles go way beyond the Harpoon.
