Social Scientist. I write cool stuff. Am the kindest person you can find on planet Earth. Once worked in the corridors of power but don't ask me abt that.
So here I was enjoying my sleep ay 3.30am and my hubby nudges me to wake up and go to cook/bake scones for breakfast. He hates bread so I have to be a good dutiful wife and bake cakes/ scones etc.. I wanted to sleep some more but have no choice so off I go to the kitchen 😕
I woke up 3am and could not go back to sleep.I kept on thinking of that ex combi driver who came to my house asking for food for his children. I kept on thinking did his kids eat yesterday? What about today what are they going to eat? My heart is heavy.
#ZimbabweanLivesMatter
Please ZESA can we have power at least one day a week during the day. We need to watch TV do ironing, bake, roast meat. Only just one day a week I beg you. Am on my knees. The kids are crying to watch catoons. People are now working up at 2am just to cook. Murivanhu vakaita sei?
#Zesa
diaries cont...So I did not wake up at 3am to bake those scones. I opened my eyes though at at that time but I was looking at the car keys. My beautiful, wonderful, clever, brilliant kids got me wheels as a birthday present. So what more can I ask? Baking can wait.
My uncle in Zvishavane still does the same method of farming & not getting good harvests every year. I think farming methods in the rural areas should be revolutionalised.
#MemoryLane
visited my old school Shabani Mine Primary, went inside the grade 5 classroom &sat in my old place.Nothing had changed but I had changed.The chairs & desks were still the same although now very old I had my grand daughter by my side.I had flashbacks of my classmates🤔
I don't always beat my own drums but today I just felt that you should all know how proud I am of my very intelligent sons. They are doing great things out there. See what my other son got. 😃
#ZESA
diaries cont... yesterday my scone baking at 3am attracted a lot of comments. I was heavily pelted with a hailstorm of comments. Some good and some not so kind. I was left panting and gasping for breath. In the end I felt like a chicken plucked alive of all its feathers.
#LetstalkZimlife
..Was at a wedding yestday & ended up thinking that this duplicity of two types of weddings is expensive. Why are couples having lobola ceremonies then a few moths later followed up with a white wedding? Are our lobola ceremonies not enough validation of a union?
@Yvonne_Maphosa
I am begining to think that some women confuse bleaching, layers & layers of makeup, false lashes, brazillian wigs, stilletos, long nails, tight jeans/dresses with bathing. What is bathing? So a woman in the village who goes to the river after field work to bath has not bathed?
I remember this radio very well. Growing up my uncle would not allow us to touch it. We would sit far away from his radio whilst he drank his 7 days beer listening to music on this radio. Vaitodada nayo. 😃
I was stressed yesterday cos I had no ZESA the whole day. My apologies to all for my rantings. I have now realised that I can work around the ZESA schedule so I have decided to sleep during the day & then be awake the whole night to get a glimpse of ZESA.Ndatova muroyi full time.
So today I did not wake up at 3am. I was too weak & tired from the tirade of comments that fell upon my head. These twitter streets are hard hat areas. Am still recovering in bed. However, I had a talk with my hubby hopefully whilst I bake the scones he will be doing the ironing.
#LetstalkZimlife
...Am so heartbroken Aunty Abigail my son's helper who looked after muzukuru wangu collapsed and died yesterday somewhere along the border on her way back to Zim for the Christmas holidays. Am so heartbroken. She had a beautiful soul. Mhsrip. 🙏
Today is my daughter's birthday. I have only one daughter. I feel blessed. She is very soft spoken, very intelligent, very well educated scientist, well behaved, very kind and very beautiful. I wish her all the best in life. May God grant her many blessings. 😘
City fathers please save our souls and declare the water woes a national disaster. Maybe people can crowd fund and do something to ensure that the city has clean drinking water for all residents.

cont...
So now people are using a pot full of hot water to iron their clothes cos of Nozesa. I will try that tomorrow since I also have a big pile of clothes to be ironed too. Nozesa can humble a person honestly. Zvakaoma. 🤦
My dad wanted to have a son as his first born. I think he was disappointed when my mum gave birth to four girls one after the other.The only good thing was that being the first born I became his spanner boy. When other girls were playing with dolls I was busy handing him spanners
@matigary
I want also to see Gono behind bars. He should be jailed for eroding people's pensions, insurance policies and savings. A whole generation impoverished by his mad printing of of useless bearer cheques. He must not be spared ngaende mujeri pliz.
#Zesadiaries
cont... So today I forgot to post my Zesa diary at the usual time cos was busy waiting to hear sme good news! I am now a grandmother of two. My son & his lovely wife Lerrato were today blessed in the early hrs of the morning with a healthy baby boy! Am over joyed.😍
The public toilets in Zim are a big disgrace eg. Public toilets at Rusape bus terminus. Those toilets are not fit for any animal to use. They should just be demolished. Hama dzangu mashura mubani chaiwo. Anosemesa.
I hope this corruption of being charged more when paying by ecocash is stopped in 2020. This is slowly becoming the normal practice but why? Mobile money is money isn't it? Why are people being ripped off like this?
Hatizvidiiiii 🙄
#LetstalkZimlife
...My childhood friend died last Sunday in Shamva. We grew up together, went to the same primary school in Zvishavane. She could not stay longer in Pari private ward hosp cos she could not afford the 215 per day after a major operation. A teacher for 39yrs. Mhsrip
#memorylane
went down memory lane on Wed. I had never been back to the place where I was born & raised. Had too many painful memories there. Its been more than 40yrs since I had been there. The house looked so tiny. I don't know how we all fitted in comfortably the six of us...🤔
#Zesa
diaries cont... So gas got finished midway whilst making making breakfast for my gardener. Sconeman my hubby had already made his breakfast whilst I was still asleep and had eaten all the scones. I had to improvise so made a fire. Ndabika chimodho and eggs. Tatoguta so. 🤣
I think this Shona saying "nhamo yeumwe hairambirwi sadza" was the begining of most of our social problems. It encourages and glorifies many social ills like selfish attitudes such as corruption, nepotism, thieving etc.. What happened to the true African spirit of ubuntu?
@salasa4251
@ChiheraStacey
Soon they will turn against each other when they realise that their poverty or lack of jobs was not caused by Zimbabweans. That day is coming soon.
ZESA diaries cont... I woke up today at 1 30am. I could not sleep any more my mind was just bugging me to wake up & put that pot of pork bones on the stove to cook. I felt like a real witch cutting & cleaning pork bones at that ungodly hour! I started laughing. its bizzare.
@MissCheyBae
Most people feel empty especially these days of social media friends who are not really friends. There is no human touch except only fake stories and jokes that people share. Most people are lonely. They have no one to share with their innermost fears and worries.
I love village life and I also love babies a lot This pic was taken last year when I was in Zvishavane in the village of Siboza. Young mums brought their babies for me to cuddle and adore. 😍
#LetstalkZimlife
...So two days ago my dog barked very loudly around 1 am. I snoozed off only to hear that thieves were on the prowl in the hood. They were stealing sewer manhole lids imagine! Several houses were hit. Who is buying them & why? This is too much. Zvanyanya 😮
I am feeling very disappointed right now. I sent two beautiful avocado plants to the village. Those plants took me months to nurture and grow only to be told that the plants have died. No one watered them enough. Haaa I give up 😕
@MaKhanyi_N
@ElderFungai
@SibandaSibbs
Been doing more of the housework for family and extended family over the years. Actually I never saw it thay way. I always done it. You are opening my eyes yooo!😊
@TvZim3
Don't forget to factor in costs of repairs, fuel costs, licences, Route permit licences and salaries for the Driver and the Windi plus the never ending police roadblocks.
#LetstalkZimlife
I hope our MPs will push for meaningful social grants to anyone over 60 years old. Been in rural Zvishavane,was touched by the plight of many old people who have no means of survival. That lady on my pic is partially blind. She tries to make door mats for sale.
#Zesadiaries
cont...Now this how my freezer also works as a coller box during the day, I fill up the pet bottles with water so that when Zesa comes back at night the water in the bottles freezes so that during the day when there is no power my freezer remains cold. It works 🤪
@Wamagaisa
Its a big blow to those who wanted to see a new political dispensation. He fought a good fight. Am pained beyond words he was my boss. Will miss him a lot. May his soul rest in peace. No more pain Save!
@zenzele
@FungaiChiposi
We had FCA USD bank accounts which eventually morphed into bond notes. Now we are supossed to reopen FCA accounts again which we had before. This is so confusing. Its better not to Bank anymore. 😐
#Zesadiaries
cont.. So yesterday we had magetsi the whole day and up to now. I thoroughly enjoyed baking and watched a bit of TV and felt really happy and warm despite the freezing temperatures outside. Life is good with ZESA, cup cakes and Jacobs Coffee. Ndozodei nhai? 😛😛
Why is that the garbage truck always swooshes down the rd & I have to run after it with the bin.I think they kinda glean some joy in watching some of us who are not so fit anymore struggling to catch up with them & when I finally make it they smille & grin gogo makabatana! 🤷🤦
So yesterday I bumped into a former colleague. I was so happy to see her. Hadn't seen her for the past 8 years. We used to work together at UNFPA/CST. 😊
One day I will do a thread on Diasporans who have completely disengaged themselves from their relatives in the motherland and their country. They have completely forgotten where they came from. Tragic. 🙄
Now a beautiful woman with a lovely kind soul is sending me some premix scone flour. I will now give to my hubby to do the baking. Very soon I will be calling from my bed f him to bring me a hot scone and my usual cup of coffee. Total bliss am already dreaming of the good times😴
@matigary
Lets have a different type of rally where ordinary povo are given a chance to tell political leaders what they want instead of the other way around. I too have plenty to say about the new Zim that I want and I want my voice to be heard also. Tipeiwo mukana!
@Busisa74
I went to school with no shoes and no jersey in winter. I once cracked my toe on a stone but did not feel the pain cos my toe was frozen cold. I only saw blood on the class room floor at mid day when it was a bit warmer cos the sun had come out... I am writing a book 😴
Can some one give me a good reason why men put passwords on their cell phones? What happens when they are say involved in an accident? How will some one get in touch with their loved ones?
@T_Masiyiwa
November was regarded as a very busy period as many people were preparing their fields for planting. So people had no time to run around with the organisation of marriage ceremonies.
@SimbaNyamadzawo
I never sent my kids to boarding school. I was with them all their growing up years. I was their life coach as a result they achieved a lot in life. Never subcontract the upbringing of your kids to someone else otherwise they will get wrong life lessons & you tend to lose a lot.
@Veewedecor
@jojoe_luv_
Young girls these days you get angry when we tell you not to these things. You always shout back its my life and it my body. Okay go ahead and reap the consequences of sleeping around.
I think that our culture does not teach us the concept of gratitude. How many of us have done a lot to help relatives & friends when they needed help but never got a thank you. Vamwe wakatogara navo, fed them and paid for their school fees asi no thank you not even a greeting 🤔
@SibandaSibbs
Lets leave it there. Some of you here are still bringing up these old stories yet you were all sent to school with that money. Its just one of those myths that can not be proved but I remember there were markets where these ladies sold their madhories in SA. They made money.
#MemoryLane
...so today my boys surprised me with these boxing day presents. They decided to get some household items for me. This is too much love! ❤️
When I saw the video of SA mob burning another human being & everyone watching & doing nothing to stop this madness. I was so hurt & heartbroken. The devil has now got its HQ in SA. The SADC org & SA gvt should condemn & put a stop to these acts of murder on defenceless people.
#LetstalkZimlife
.What do you think of kids who leave home at 6am for kindergarten? I think this is another form of cruelty to kids.Everyday am woken up by this combi that collects these little souls for school at this ungodly hour.Kids should be allowed to sleep more honestly 😥
#Zesadiaries
cont.. Its 6.04 & I can hear my fridge going off so that means magetsi aenda! Am still in bed & am thinking when will Zesa get it right. When will I enjoy Zesa 24/7? Yesterday we had Nozesa until 21.00hrs. So we are officially back to those 12hrs of loadshedding 🙄
@Busisa74
Now we are very hungry. Before these austerity what what chakuti we could eat sadza and meat everyday now we just get into the supermarket go to the meat counter and leave with nothing shaking our heads as if we were body viewing at Nyaradzo.
@ali_naka
The gospel of miracle churches has messed up our minds big time. They make us eat grass and use, holy water & annointing oils instead of working hard and finding solutions to our economic problems. 😔
@TsunguAlice
Problem is when the person is gasping for air the madzibabas will hold that person very tightly under the water claiming that the demon is resisting exorcism. Meanwhile the person would be drowning. Tragic loss of life. 😓
#LetstalkZimlife
... So yestday had a lovely Mother's Day. Had chats with my kids on whatsapp cos they all left Zim for the diaspora. I sent them several selfies afterwards cos they had called before I had put on my make up. It was good but felt lonely wish they were working here.
I was left for dead bleading with all my feathers scattered on the ground. What a day! The tweet just went viral. However despite all I made it through. Thanks to some kind offers of premix scone flour from
@SueNyathi
and loving words from many of you like
@Yvonne_Maphosa
@SAfmnews
There is too much violence against women in SA. Lets catch them young. Women can start by teaching young baby boys to respect women whilst they are still suckling on their breasts. This violence against should stop. Its terrible.
Right now am no longer subscribing to DSTV or wifi. Whats the point when power gets back when am already snoozing. Vanhu vava kubika at 2am for food yavachazodya for supper. Please tibatei sevanhuwo be reasonable. Makaoma. Think of the poor who can not afford solar/generators.
#LetstalkZimlife
..So it's almost two weeks now with no tap water. Not that I don't have I do have some but my 4500l jojo tank is almost finished now and water can't reach my solar geyser & it's winter now. So it means back to bucket bath. Pliz City fathers may we have water.🙏
So now before the end of 2019 can some of those followers who follow me silently just acknowledge their following by saying hi to me. I love you all and appreciate your following me. Wish you all a Happy and prosperous NY. 😄
