Kevin Johnson, who took over at Southern a year ago, won 18 games in his first season and now has the Jaguars at 14-8 overall and 9-0 in league play. Really impressive job by the former Tulane and Louisiana Lafayette assistant. He told @TheFieldOf68 that the key has been complete buy-in from the players. "These guys have bought in to defense, style of play, and each other!"

Today in 1972, Roberto Clemente is killed in a plane crash while attempting to help Nicaraguan earthquake victims. He died as he lived, with love for others and character. May his legacy set the example for all of us as we head into the New Year. #RIP
