Lots of people dunking on this. But to say this isn't happening is false. I broke the news last yr that @tedcruz's campaign was using a photo of 2 girls (neither of them trans) to argue against trans athletes bc they just assumed 1 of the girls was trans
Trump’s anti-trans sports ban threatens every girl who plays sports. Girls who are stronger, faster, or taller are now exposed to the humiliation of proving their gender. Local orgs have rules in place to make competition fair and safe—it's not a role for federal government.

As a reminder, @NCAA's president told a Senate panel in December that there are fewer than 10 transgender athletes that he is aware of who currently compete in college sports, accounting for .002% of NCAA athletes nationwide.
Jack Turban, a psychiatrist who researches trans youth mental health and sat on an NCAA committee, is resigning after the organization announced it is banning transgender athletes from women’s sports.
