@fncischen @BartronPolygon very true. in the US we incentivize profit margins above all else. in other places, like China which has a meritocratic tradition, and a recent trend of anti corruption, the incentive is more geared towards the public good. we don't do that here, and terrifs will make us pay.

@BartronPolygon @fncischen we didn't incentivize knowledge, we incentivized capital extraction. those who rule the current megacorps are mostly used to extorting workers, and foreign markets, especially china, have a much heavier bias towards actual expertise. we will not domestically compensate, we can't

strange as it may seem, david lynch was a huge inspiration for me and the art in some of my games. the art of buzz (wiring sandbox game) was heavily inspired by his work. i will miss him. it is always important, above all, to make the world a more beautiful and stranger place.

@SnakeMcCloud i appreciate that, monkey raft was definitely a passion project that i'm super grateful for. i can't help but wonder if we'd have made a better game in unity, though

@galinmaxprod yeah i think a lot of this has to do with the prevalence of the trend, which isnt really something anyone can do anything about it's just kind of sad to see such vapid content at the forefront
