The underlying theme of Bar Rescue is Jon Taffer's quest for friendship. Almost every episode ends with him saying, "We started off on the wrong foot but we're friends now, right?" Then he goes to the next bar, seeking the same empty validation. He is the Last Man.

My favorite publication is probably my small town's monthly newsletter. Upcoming events at the library and the adult community center, updates on construction of the new golf course and swim park, an item on increased waste-collection costs. I don't need to know anything else.
