Like the whole British and Irish Obs family, we are sadden and shocked to hear of the sudden passing of our old friend, Steve Wing, the long-time warden of the @CCBOIE . A nicer man you would struggle to find and a real ambassador for Obs work. RIP Steve photo Shay Hunston.

Today we took one of our founder members Tony Bell (AAB) over to the island for the day to celebrate his 91st birthday. Here he is enjoying his picnic lunch ❤️ @hilbrebirdobs (est. 1957) wouldn’t be here today without Tony and the other founder members - thanks Tony 🙏

Two Yorkshire Observatories get Brown Booby on their respective species lists in as many days.
Poor shot of Brown Booby on Filey Brigg this morning. Disappeared soon after but relocated off Hunmanby Gap and Reighton Sands.
