Good synopsis on the KOS elections aftermath. Hard to estimate what impact foreign factors (Russian Federation/Grenell etc) had on the elections, but this certainly affected the electoral outcome (although not to the extent of Romania and Moldova).
Short 🧵 on the elections in Kosovo. The Self-Determination party of incumbent Prime Minister Albin Kurti (again) became the strongest political force, but lost the absolute majority of votes it had won in 2021. Coalition talks are needed, new elections already in 2026 posible:⬇️

@DragosIonita The 50% mentioned appears an exaggeration. Recent figures related to the drop in sales, due to the 'Buy Nothing Friday', is closer to 25% rather than 50%. This hits the retailers, who have a very small profit margin, rather than wholesale suppliers and producers who supply shops.

@GencPollo No idea. Sense or non-sense is in the eye of the beholder. Merely observe that substantial volume of financial aid went through various channels. US is now drying up USAID, NL is drying up development aid. Some organisations received significant funds from both currents. New era.
