Observation diary doesn’t sound like it’s love notes. It’s more in line with Ritsu literally writing down every single thing Mao does. Considering Ritsu is a very well written yandere trope, it makes sense
Mao has possession of what is essentially piles of love notes and it's still not gonna click that ritsu is atrociously down bad for him
