The Colorado Senate is about to hear the second reading of a bill that would make virtually every semi-automatic rifle (except 22s) illegal. Meanwhile a man who killed 10 persons in Boulder recently with one of these weapons will spend the rest of his life getting room and board at taxpayer expense instead of facing the death penalty. The legislature needs to get serious about punishing crime rather than trying to micro manage society with more of their "regulations".

Why does the U.S. need a federal police force in the first place. We should scale the FBI back to bare essentials.

On September 23, 2024, Ahmad Alissa, the man who murdered these 10 people in Boulder at a King Supers market was given a life sentence. IMHO this was a travesty of justice. He should have been given the death sentence. This is not justice.

Sounds like this might impact my home town of Boulder, Colorado where being a sanctuary city is baked into the woke agenda, right up there with LGBTQ+ and drag queen story hours.

@stillgray That is the wrong way to deal with tariffs. They should keep everything as is. US Tariffs on Canadian good should have no impact on the cost of goods in Canada, and might even reduce the prices for goods. Don't make bad decisions.
