A women gave her baby to a bus operator and asked him to call the police as she couldn’t take care of the baby.
Honestly why do we as a state arrest desperate women who need help and don’t understand the safe haven laws.
I keep thinking how Kylie Kelce is our equivalent to Kate Middleton and Philadelphia would literally move heaven and earth if she went missing suspiciously.
There's a whole cottage industry devoted to teaching Millennials basic life skills. Are young adults that hapless—or is being a grown-up really harder now?

I don’t usually bother hourly workers who couldn’t do much. I was thinking of emailing them at some point. Didn’t realize the tweet would get this response either.
I would rather see cleaning crews on every train and station every couple of hours. Rather than this type of enforcement to make quality of life better. The truth is the more riders make each other safer on transit. Not this broken windows bullshit.
People sexualizing the affection the Phillies have for each other is a reminder that being queer is fucking fun and loving your friends means kissing them on the lips once in a while because it’s fun.
NEW: In a historic victory for students, a judge has declared Pennsylvania's school funding system unconstitutional.
We proved that the students who need the most have the least, because the state shortchanges low-wealth communities. It's time to change that.
I don't believe Philadelphia as a "culture of violence" as Outlaw put it, we have a culture of poverty. Where for generations we have schools grossly underfunded, over policing, lack of jobs et al.
Honest to god I don't want to talk about bikes or bike lanes anymore. I don't want to write op-eds or email politicians. I just want our city's departments to be a on auto pilot with safe streets and it not be some ongoing political minefield.
When asked about concrete barriers being part of bike infrastructure,
@PhillyMayor
says they still need to do community engagement and research on state and local level before adopting those measures

Despite having an appointment, we had to beg our way upstairs in City Hall and were met with silent, expressionless staffers in the hallway. We left the petitions on a table.

I don’t think people are upset that
@PhillyMayor
wants people to work in office again. It’s that every system is broken or holding on by a thread that would make it easier to work in person, childcare, septa, housing etc.
We can’t save the city on the backs of workers alone.
Spruce and Pine should have been protected a decade+ ago. But
@PHLCouncil

@PhillyMayor
(s) have shown no political will to simply end PREVENTABLE death.

White bikes signify someone was killed while biking there across the world. Not even just a local thing. It’s like putting up a tombstone.
I’m very amused when people see city road diets/pedestrianization as “suburbanization” of streets. I’m sorry walking in most suburbs is not pleasant or safe.
When people complain about sidewalk riders they don’t usually envision an elderly woman. But it’s typically who I notice doing this. Protected bike lanes would really give our elderly riders a safer space to ride and increase mobility.
People are entitled to send their children to private school but this isn't a public good and deserves no public dollars especially not at the cost of stealing them from most children who attend public schools.
