Central’s Izzy Allen has committed to the
@BlackBearsWBB
program. Arguably the top ranked player in the states Class of 2024, she becomes the latest in a long line of talented home grown Black Bears to make their way to Orono
#bigtimehoops
1,000 collegiate points on the same night for two of the best to ever come out of Maine. Congrats to Gorhams
@kenzieholmes_
and Greelys
@annadewolfe20
on reaching those milestones
Shoutout to
@Bmillan11
on becoming the first player from the America East Conference to win both Player and Defensive Player of the year on two separate occasions.
He won’t play his first high school game until this winter but
@Cooper_Flagg
of Nokomis might already be the best player in the entire state. The top ranked 8th grader in all of New England and in the discussion for number one in the country, the futures here
Year 2 - Just Getting Started
Shoutout to
@annadewolfe20
on an incredible sophomore season, grabbed the conference player of the year award and helped get team to the NIT. Nothing but big things out of this girl, she’s built different
@FordhamWBB
@GreelyRangers
Kennebunks Emily Archibald adds a second straight state Gatorade Player Of The Year award to go along with the 2021 Maine Miss Basketball to cap off an incredible career.
@KennebunkAD
The fans have spoken and voted Edward Littles John Shea as the preseason Mr. Basketball for the 2021-22 season. If he wins the award, he’d join
@TroyBarnies7
as the programs only recipients of the award
Sky’s the limit for South Portland’s
@jestrella_13
He showed out all weekend long at the Maine Top 30 Camp walking away with All Star honors. Just a matter of time before those offers start rolling in. He’s got BIG TIME potential
Another Mainer who’s stock is on the rise is York’s
@bradycummins
Since transferring to Brooks and reclassifying, he’s received multiple D1 offers with more to follow with the big summer he’s having running with
@MiddlesexMagic
Oxford Hills doesn’t rebuild, they just reload and Sierra Carson is a problem. Ultra competitor who can fill up the stat sheet like she did last night Vs Lewiston. 14 rebounds. And she’s a guard.
@natepelletier
@oxford_hills
Find me a Maine school with a better all-time starting 5. Before ending its prep program in 2012, MCI had 10 guys that went on to play in the NBA and countless others that went on to D1 careers. Crazy
She hasn’t played in her first official high school game yet but Oceanside freshman Bailey Breen just got her first scholarship offer from the home state Black Bears. Sure to be the first of many. The girls game in Maine continues to be strong as ever
Windham standout and UMaine commit
@sarahtalon_
cracked the top 15 for the Class of 2022 in the latest Prep Girls Hoops rankings for New England. Big things coming. Stay tuned
#mainegothoopers
Star Power on full display as two of the top ranked juniors in the state went head to head in Hampden today. Sierra Carson of Oxford Hills and Bella McLaughlin went at it. The girls game continues to be as strong as ever here in Maine
Must see tv tonight on NFHS. Arguably the two best players in the state going head to head tonight in South Portland.

Getting it done on the hardwood and grid iron, shoutout to
@WyattHathaway5
on winning the Gatorade Player Of The Year for the state of Maine. That boy is BIG TIME
@blackbearswbb
got another one. Fresh off being named America East Rookie Of The Week, I got a feeling it’s the first of many for
@bailey_w_5
. Can we get more minutes 🙏
Statement win for the Oxford Hills girls with a big road win against a tough Hampden Academy squad. Sierra Carson is the real deal, huge game for the Vikings
@oxford_hills
1ooo points scored on the same night is crazy. Gets even more crazy when you line them up side by side. Might need to have the 🐐 conversation when it’s all said and done for these two
The fans have voted and chosen Skowhegans Jaycie Christopher as our 2021-22 Preseason Miss Basketball. If she does win, she’d be the first player in program history to take home the award
Maines got a 3 Point Champ. Congrats to Hampden Academy’s Aidan Kristal on winning the Big Time Hoops 3 Point Shootout. He went 24/25 in both rounds to win the crown.
Edward Little HS 6’6” big man, John Shea (c/o 2022), has been on a tear to start his senior season, already having recorded 44 & 36 point outings. Shea plays with physicality, punishing smaller matchups, while being able to step out and hit the three.
@NERRHoops
Tough loss for the Hoosiers but Gorhams
@kenzieholmes_
just put up 24 points and was the best player on the floor against the
#2
ranked team in the country. Keep putting Maine on the map Mack
