Former Baylor star, Shawn Oakman, has been found not guilty of rape. Oakman would like to have an opportunity to play football now that he has been acquitted, but hasn't played since 2016. His career could be ruined by a false accusation.

Other conclusion: There still are big timers in the WPIAL but sometimes the Power 5 schools aren’t the best fit for those individuals.
Only 8 WPIAL football players signed as scholarship players with Power 5 conference schools. Likely the lowest total in history of WPIAL. Past 30 years at least 10 signed with Power 5 schools. Conclusion: WPIAL still has good players. Just not that many big timers any more.
