Pujya Swami Dayananda Saraswati Ji filed a major writ petition in 2012, challenging many provisions of the Religious Endowments Acts of Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Puducherry. This important case never had a proper hearing after it was admitted. The case was getting delayed for multiple reasons including non-filing of affidavit by the @BJP4India CENTRAL GOVERNMENT for the last 3 years. Today NONE from Central Government appeared in the matter before Supreme Court. It should be now clear to Hindus that BJP Govt will not secure their fundamental rights regarding Hindu Temples and Charities. BJP Govt wants temples to be under control of State Governments including DMK Govt. Senior Counsel Kapil Sibal today appeared for Tamil Nadu Government. He urged for early hearing of the matter. Last time - when the Chidambaram temple case was heard by Honā€™ble Supreme Court (2009 to 2013) some scoundrel in @tnhrcedept siphoned off many many lakhs of rupees from Common Good Fund maintained for HinduTemples and from Sri Kapaliswarar temple, Chennai to pay for expenses in that case. A crime punishable with TEN YEARS imprisonment. I wonder from which temple @tnhrcedept will NOW STEAL to pay for legal expenses in the case filed by Pujya Swamiji Writ Petition No. 476 of 2012. . .

@6candy28 JD described xtianity as series of concentric duty-circles which directly contradicts Jesus's "love thy enemy" diktat. actually the concentric circle idea is a Hindu idea (kutumba, jaati, kula, sampradaya, rashtra). The larger circles hv multiple smaller symbiotic circles inside

@zreika989 tenders of gardens (work) can nevr compete with raiders of gardens (theft). so... 1. tenders hv 2 figure out a way 2 either control or eliminate raiders 2. since raiding is an unsustainble foundation 4 civilizatn bldg, raiding mustnt b glorified, but held in contempt by noble ppl

@martyrmade so what? bro, cooper, there is no moral justification for european universalist overreach apart from "muh material progress". ultimately thats all yr civilization boils down to. look within b4 you (& therefore all of us) are consumed in a conflagration of tech fuelled immorality.

@Adarshrjha ha ha... but its true. NREGA effect on farming is the same. the UBI future guarantees more of this. the paradox of a modern economics- if the system is successful, then ppl can choose how much 2 work, but if the ppl choose to work less, then the system becomes unsuccessful.

@kingkongfalls bhai, the focus of traditional human activity was not money, it was something else. money or exchange was a by product of a different focus. the brahmana didnt do yagna for dakshina, neither did the vishwakarma build temples for food, though both dakshina and food were provided.

As Hindus, we are lucky in that we can avoid these 3 routes (though we may have to participate in the system for the time being). We always hv our communities and religio/spiritual traditions to revert to, or carry parallelly. Meaning is available to us if we dont throw it away.

frugality and the nature of the country furnish them in great abundanceā€¦ and in every period of time those who traded with that country carried specie (gold and silver coins) thither and brought none in return." Baron de Montesquieu, The Spirit of Laws, 1748

@Anuraag_Shukla good point, the collectivization of this activity held by one responsible community, leaving others to do other work.
