Utah took Javon Small's scoring away from WVU but his teammates stepped up, filled the void with some spectacular plays as the Mountaineers regained its winning ways. BTW, Small managed his 14 points and 8 assists.

Utah cut WVU's lead to 5 with 3:00 to play, then WVU played keepaway and ran the lead to double figures. 72 points first time in seven games WVU has reached 70 and just the second time since the Mercyhurst game

WVU has a balanced scoring night with fouir in double figiures led by Hansberr's 17 with 7 rebounds. Powell has 11 with 7 boards. Small and Yesufu have 14 each, small with 8 assists in 72-61 win over Utah.

Utah making Javon Small work hard for everything. He has made it to 10 points, but has managed to get off onluy 4 shots. But he's producing lots of points with 7 assists. WVU leads, 53-41 with 11:57 to play.

Joe Yesufu with 10 to lead WVU, Toby Okani 9. Javon Small has taken only 3 shots and made one, a 3. He does have 5 assists, however. BTW, Utah, the worst free throw shooting team in the league, 7 for 7 in first half. No surprise there, right.

Some people would say Utes' Ezra Ausar is a physical player. I would call him more of a brute. He's the kind of guy who lowers his shoulder into his defender, who pushes and it's up to the refs to control him.

Josh Eilert had a big time pregame homecoming. Now an assistant at Utah, he had a long pregame talk with a lot of smiles and laughs with AD Wren Baker, then met with numerous other friends from his long in Morgantown as an assistant and interim head coach.
