Students from Our Partnered Government Schools under Quality Support Program Explore the Universe Through Telescope Under the Quality Support Program, the recently established Astronomy Club organized a Sky Night Watch event, bringing together 300 students from partnered Government Schools in Karnataka. The event was graced by the Block Education Officer (BEO) of Kunigal Block, along with 100 parents, teachers, village representatives, and community members from five nearby schools across four villages in Tumakuru, Karnataka. Students had a unique opportunity to witness celestial wonders firsthand through a high-powered telescope. Expert resource persons from the Regional Science Centre, Mandya, led an engaging session, introducing attendees to the mysteries of space and astronomy. Through an insightful presentation and guided observations, they sparked curiosity, deepened understanding, and brought the universe closer to young learners. Students from Our Partnered Government School Under QSP Completed an Eight-Day Internship at FDDI, Gaining Industry Exposure Recently 25 students from our partnered Government School under Bharti Airtel Foundation’s Quality Support Program Jodhpur, Rajasthan successfully completed an eight-day internship at the Footwear Design & Development Institute (FDDI), Jodhpur gaining practical exposure to the world of footwear design. During the internship, students gained hands-on experience in footwear design, learning about materials, cutting, stitching, and quality checks. They worked on advanced machines, explored various sections of the institute, and attended insightful sessions led by industry experts. Additionally, the FDDI faculty also explained the admission process, eligibility, fees, and scholarships, encouraging students to explore careers in footwear design. Teachers from partnered Government Schools Participated in a Two-Day Science Workshop at CSIR-IIIM, Jammu under QSP Recently, in collaboration with the Directorate of School Education Jammu and CSIR-Indian Institute of Integrative Medicine (IIIM), Jammu, teachers from 82 partnered Government schools recently participated in a two-day exposure visit and science workshop under the Bharti Airtel Foundation’s Quality Support Program. Designed to enhance teaching methodologies, the program provided practical experiences to deepen teachers' understanding of science. They explored advanced scientific labs at CSIR-IIIM, attended workshops on cybersecurity, lab safety practices, and basic science experiments that can be easily replicated in classrooms. Additionally, a career awareness session was conducted to equip teachers with insights on guiding students toward various opportunities in the science field. Students from Partnered Government Schools Explore Science and Space at Science City Ranchi, Jharkhand under QSP Recently, 340 students from 20 partnered Government schools under the Bharti Airtel Foundation’s Quality Support Program participated in an educational exposure visit to Science City at Ranchi, Jharkhand. Their journey began with an immersive 3D show on ISRO’s achievements, the solar system, and the Milky Way galaxy, providing a fascinating introduction to planetary science. Additionally, they explored the Science Park, which demonstrated principles of mechanics, electricity, magnetism, and optics, providing practical insights into science and technology. The students were further provided with a career guidance session on aerospace engineering, space science, and mechanical engineering, broadening their career aspirations and inspiring them to explore future opportunities in STEM fields. Empowering Students in Partnered Government Schools Through Real-World Experiences Under QSP Recently, under the Bharti Airtel Foundation’s Quality Support Program, 11 students from our partnered Government schools in Jodhpur, Rajasthan successfully completed eight-day internship program at UCO Bank, Rajasthan. This hands-on experience provided students with practical insights into the banking sector, including understanding how a bank operates, the KYC policy and process, online banking, and about cybersecurity. In addition to learning about the operational side of banking, the students also explored pathways to build a career in the field, gaining knowledge about courses, eligibility criteria, competitive exams, and the skills required to thrive in the industry. The internship concluded on a high note with the students being awarded certificates signed by the Chief Manager of UCO Bank and the Chief District Education Officer, a testament to their dedication and hard work. Six Students from Partnered Government School Shine at Toycathon-2024 (a platform that encourages students to create toys and games) We are proud to share that six students from five partnered Government schools under the Quality Support Program in Samba and Jammu have been felicitated by Hon’ble Lt. Governor Shri. Manoj Sinha for their innovative projects at Toycathon-2024, held at Abhinav Theatre, Jammu. The event saw a total of 112,657 students participate across Jammu and Kashmir. After several rigorous rounds involving 1,639 schools, 30 students from different schools across the state were selected for the Felicitation Ceremony. Among them, 6 out of 9 students from partnered Government schools were declared winners, while the others received consolation prizes. Bharti Airtel Foundation has been a steadfast supporter of the students throughout their journey, from registration to designing innovative toys/projects and showcasing them at various competition levels.
