is not a one-way street. To receive great mentorship, think about ways you can support your mentor as well. Mentors struggle and have challenges too. Give back. Someone took a chance on you so you can pay it forward and make the world a better place.
Pareto principle for faculty retention:
Spend 20% of your efforts on retention to avoid spending 80% of your efforts on recruitment.
Especially useful when everyone is short staffed in healthcare and experiencing crazy high volumes!

What if you did not know the answer to an audience question?
1. Acknowledge the great question!
2. Just say "I don't know"
3. Share your experience and ask your co-presenters what their experience is?

Pretty much everyone I know who works in a hospital complains of too much work email, most of which is not relevant, mostly spam (open-access journals, traffic updates, printer cartridges, etc.)

A journey is not linear
In life, there are just a few key opportunities, decisions, even setbacks that change drive your success. Early and on and for several long periods in between life seems to drift...
If you set out to do anything meaningful, you WILL find allies along the way!
Just start, take the next step however small it might seem at the moment.
Don't get paralyzed if the destination seems beyond the horizon...
Dreams are unreal, as they should be.
