This weekend, Trump's 25% tax increase will kick in on every American. He's doing this by implementing import taxes on America's biggest allies and trading partners. Here's a list of common food items that you can expect to increase in price: From Mexico: 🥑 Avocados (+25%) 🍅 Tomatoes (+25%) 🌶️ Bell peppers (+25%) 🥒 Cucumbers (+25%) 🍓 Strawberries (+25%) 🍋 Limes (+25%) 🥭 Mangoes (+25%) 🫐 Blueberries (+25%) 🍌 Bananas (+25%) 🍇 Grapes (+25%) 🌽 Corn (+25%) 🫘 Beans (+25%) 🥩 Beef (+25%) 🐖 Pork (+25%) 🍤 Shrimp (+25%) 🧀 Cheese (+25%) 🍦 Ice cream (+25%) 🍿 Snack foods (+25%) 🍹 Tequila & mezcal (+25%) 🍺 Beer (+25%) From Canada: 🥚 Eggs (+25%) 🥩 Beef (+25%) 🐖 Pork (+25%) 🐟 Salmon (+25%) 🦞 Lobster (+25%) 🧀 Cheese (+25%) 🥛 Milk powder (+25%) 🧈 Butter (+25%) 🌾 Wheat (+25%) 🌾 Oats (+25%) 🌾 Barley (+25%) 🌻 Canola oil (+25%) 🍏 Apples (+25%) 🥔 Potatoes (+25%) 🍁 Maple syrup (+25%) 🥃 Whiskey (+25%) 🍺 Beer (+25%)

The volume of "just grow it in the US" in the comments is revealing how little people (99% checkmarks) know about food deficits or hardiness zones. Another demonstration of Trumpers updating their npc firmware to defend an idiotic move that's obviously harmful to avg Americans.

@AmandaMGoetz Been doing this more as well. It can get a bit depressing though when the responses don't continue the conversation. Few if any questions back, and no reciprocating that outreach. Guys mostly carry this disease.

@LaSepulturera @JamesAFurey @BIvicek There are such things as school therapists and guidance counselors... There's also training for teachers before you get your license in the US on how to handle and remediate disruption, because in fact, that is part of the job. Lookup "classroom management" to start.

@JamesAFurey @BIvicek You educate them. They are children. If disruptions pull things off the rails, change their environment and ask questions, and then get back to educating them. Kids turn into problematic adults when the adults in their lives give up on them. It's terrifying you're in a classroom.

@JamesAFurey No one advocates for the removal of children who are "difficult in the classroom". That's your whine? Really? Can you see past your own nose? How fucked up it'd be if we just started removing kids who don't sit still. Christ.
