Phil Foden moved home recently, certainly a big departure away from being around the Stockport area. His new commute to training must easily be an hour both ways. I won't say where, but it can't help and seemed a strange choice. He's a shell of his former self right now. Had an appendix operation last year, talk of food poisoning at the Footballer of the Year awards. Whatever the reason for a young player being unable to raise a gallop, he has been a tough watch for a while. He will come good again, but perhaps he needs a proper rest to get his head and body right? James McAtee deserves a chance to share the load.
