@DogeRespecter77 @RyanMullarkey1 @georgegalloway It is the denial of privilege and failure to acknowledge the additional safety nets that white people can access here due to historical and contemporary inequality (that has not been addressed in any meaningful way) that is the problem.

@RyanMullarkey1 @georgegalloway They also have far more chance of a good education and access to jobs. White privilege remains very real in SA and it’s this we should be talking about not pretending their is some kind of disproportionate threat to white people

@Leon_Schreib 7 years I have been waiting for verificatjon of my PR so i can apply for my ID. 7 years! ive lived in south africa 15 years. nothing has changed with the GNU. i cant get a response from HA, VFS promised to reapond in 8 weeks and yet nothing. nothing dignified about this

@Leon_Schreib I also cannot open certain bank accounts and have to carry my PR certificate around with me ...all because my verification has been stuck in the system for 7 years with no resolution. When i go to DHA i am told to come back another time or given a number that no one answers.

@Leon_Schreib I have since been refused renewal of my drivers license because I do not have an ID. I learnt to drive in SA and have always had a license. I now only have a temporary one which i have to renew every 6 months. Each time i do i have to explain why i have not applied for my ID...
