That says it all doesn’t it. I wonder how many more such NGOs there are in SA. I mean how do you even qualify for that kind of money unless you are a front for something else.
USAID gave $400M (R7.4B) to Anova - a South African NGO with a broken website & a deactivated X account.

Certainly not the way the #ANC has been going about it for the last three decades. You cant create a dependency state, keep people in poverty and expect SAN's to become contributors to the economy.
Genuine question to WHITE SOUTH AFRICANS... How do YOU suggest we fix the injustices of the past that still affect the majority of BLACK SOUTH AFRICANS today? Specifically regarding land they were forced off of in 1913, Bantu Education, Labour Exploitation & Income Inequality?

For those who say that conferences are just a bunch of people talking, delivering no real results, here's a fun story for you. Today, as a last-minute add-on to the Adopting Bitcoin Cape Town post-conference road trip, attendees visited @BitcoinLoxion. Bitcoin Loxion emerged as a result of our inaugural conference, Adopting Bitcoin Cape Town 2024. Project Founder, Thulisa, attended last year in January and left the 2024 conference with a mission: To build a circular Bitcoin economy in one of South Africa's largest townships, Khayelitsha, outside Cape Town. A year later, 30 conference attendees visited that same project.

Hey Jeff I used some key statements you made, in my presentation at the @AdoptingBTC in Cape Town this weekend. For many people this is the biggest challenge you highlighted: "Bitcoin is bounded by energy, providing a new reference frame but for most people, creates a cognitive dissonance in many of our brains. For many, we can't grasp the unknown of the new system because we've never lived in it. There are no books that ever reference it and so everything we've ever learned is outside of a different system." Somehow we need to demystify decentralised technology like Bitcoin to assist with this.
We are told we need inflation. This is not true. It only seems true because the rules of the game were designed that way.
