I was the ONLY reporter in the courtroom this morning as the man accused of raping a 10-year-old girl, impregnating her, leading to an abortion in Indiana, was arraigned.
This confirms that the case exists.

Why is this important?

Columbus police said the Acura MDX has been found and the 4-month-old baby was found safe inside it. Car/baby found on Near East Side.
The baby is believed to be safe but will be looked at at the hospital as a precaution.

But it needs to be reasonable. The agency involved, fine. The store, I can understand sort of.

This police agency has had 2 officers killed in the last six months. Both were from the same recruit class and they were friends. Thinking of all the TPD officers, but especially those in that class --recruit classes have tight bonds--who have gone through so much.

The next big step in the case happened today: An indictment (two counts of rape) was filed.
Fuentes will have a court date soon for a formal arraignment, where he is expected to enter a not guilty plea through his attorney.

I wonder how many people in Ohio (or in the General Assembly) have had a child through IVF ( I personally know quite a few) or have had a grandchild that way.
Well…. This bill - if passed - COULD limit the ability to use such methods to conceive.
BRAND NEW:
Ohio House Rep. Gary Click introduced HB 704, which would give total rights to "unborn human individuals from the moment of conception."
Recognizing "personhood" at conception already caused concern during abortion hearings. Doctors believe this could prohibit IVF.
