I’m on an iPhone now and yeah the superior apps do make a difference (all my online banking can log me in immediately with Face ID. On android half the time they ask me to put in password). And the iPhone video zoom in/out is most fluid.
But two things will keep me on Android

The Xiaomi 14 Pro has those iPhone-like wide frames so its overall shape is "body" but the screen still curves subtly on all four sides so you still get rounded edges. I really like this. Makes completely flat panels like Pixel 8 Pro feel rough.

Apple's Always-On Display tech is really impressive, because it is LITERALLY always on (1st pic is my normal lockscreen, 2nd and 3rd pic is when the phone is locked with AOD on), yet battery drain has been non-issue.
This may be too distracting though for an AOD.

Btw, I apologize to Samsung for saying the flat panel gonna be a downgrade (like the Pixel 8 was).
Samsung did a good job of still giving the edge where screen meets frame a subtle curvature so it doesn't feel sharp the way Pixel 8 Pro's edges do.
