@hookskat @RLeeAtwood Me, too! Two random comments I made at least a year ago get a several likes every day. Why those two?

@hookskat Me, neither - unless it's to engage one out of every million people they spam. It's gotten really bad, though - I block easily 5 - 10 of them per day now.

I wonder what flat Earthers would do if they ever found out about anticrepuscular rays. #flatearththeory

@STEM_inTamarian Don't be sorry! I'm always interested in informed questions about topics that I like. I'm still not clear about misinterpretations like "timelike = time". For two events with a timelike separation there is a frame where they are in the same position separated only by time. OK?

@STEM_inTamarian Um - isn't that what experiments are for? 😉 But maybe you're talking more about mathematical rigor, which is something mathematicians have criticized physicists about (Delta function, anyone?) But I'm still missing the risk with s-like and t-like vectors. 🤔

@STEM_inTamarian Yeah - that's one of my favorite examples of the general public misunderstanding the exact nature of a mistake. I think it was common for people to say "unit conversion?? My 10-year-old can do that!" Recognizing that mistakes will happen but knowing how to catch them is the trick

@davidfrum Thank you. I felt it might have been too pedantic to point it out, so I'm relieved that you did.

@mviser Such a nice symmetry, to see this and then remember the warm welcome Trump offered to Biden in 2020 when he ... wait a minute.

@SpaceTelescope Amazing!! Be sure to go to the image and select "Zoom Image". The detail in the full image is incredible. Here's my favorite region.

@AccidentalAstro I was going to suggest that, but I was pretty sure you'll be using it at night! ;-)

@mrjeanphilippe If you want health care for all, or care for all in the wake of disaster, then spread the cost over the entire population, not just the most likely victims. 2/2
