Any take other than this is a clean hit, is embarrassing. They’re moving at 20mph. You’ve obviously never played the game. Don’t skate through the middle with your head down and this doesn’t happen. Think Meier learned his lesson and the officials got it right with no call.

Lots of low T in the comments section saying Meier was in a defenseless position and the league needs to do something about hits like this. Buddy, don’t skate through the middle of the ice with your head down on a 1 on 4 and Trouba on the ice. Pretty simple.

So, if we exchange with the bank as their “life line” how would it make sense for that bank to give an exchange rate of 1:1 or 3:1 on IQD? Wouldn’t they be in dire need at that point?

When you’re moving 20mph on blades 1/8th of an inch thick, you’re given very little time to make any sort of judgment call on a head vs chest. Meier is leading with his face and Trouba with his shoulder. When you’re used to watching the QMJHL, this hit seems violent, I get it.

This is the softest call I have ever seen. The puck doesn’t lie though. Regulation loss for the Pens on a SHG after failing to score 5 on 3 in the dying seconds of the game. This call is embarrassing. Toronto and the NHL don’t know what goalie interference is anymore. SHAME.
