Thanks to @just_security for giving me the space to see the bigger picture here on press freedom. As we get sucked into new rabbit holes with breaking news, it gets hard to keep sight of the overall stakes --- which are enormous

I'm nauseous
The USAID website is back up, but just to tell everyone they are being placed on administrative leave and thousands of people abroad will be forced to uproot their families and abandon the people they are helping. Shame on Musk and Trump for pushing this and shame on Rubio for overseeing it.
