147th/1135 “First Time” Knoxville regional list. I’m so proud of myself & so grateful to my friends who practiced w/ me for hours. I wanted to win 1 game & I won 5! I was praying ALL day. I had an amazing time & can’t believe I earned CP points at my first event🙏💖 Praise God

I am SO PROUD OF MYSELF! I went from 0-4 to 5-4 to win points for the first time in VGC! 😭🙏 I was praying every round I can’t believe I won 5 games in a row! 🙌.

It’s really weird to gate keep a hobby. Some people grew up playing Pokemon, some people didn’t. I got into Pokémon at 26. I don’t think I would’ve enjoyed/found so much value in this hobby as a kid like I do now. I think it’s cool a franchise can bring so many people together.

I finished top 8 at Locals for the first time today 😭 Miltank is the MVP. It’s been tough learning, taking Ls weekly. This feels like such a huge step for me, and the confidence boost I needed 🙏 just have to keep practicing. (8th/20)

At Hartford R4 I was feeling down. My opponent was an older gentleman, new to the game & retired. He was telling me how his family asked him why he wore a suit to the tournament, he said “Because I came here to work!” & I died laughing. I’m hoping for moments like that at NAIC.

I had a great weekend being at card shops w/ friends playing Pokémon. Even met some new people. I never had a hobby like this. Being w/ others who love something as much/more than I do is such a unique feeling. I love it 🙏💖.
