I agree. As I stated last week a small 3-game winning streak does not erase that label. They've had MANY 3-game winning streaks in the past. Winning a Super Bowl OR winning 3 playoff games over a 5-year span without all 3 wins coming in the same year would erase the #SOL label.
@bchapsports They will still be the #SameOldLions until they show us that they're not! We are watching.

Are the Tigers still cheap? If this is true, they tried to overpay Bregman. It's a good thing another team made a more detrimental offer.
The Tigers offered Bregman 6 years, $171m. Astros 6/156 His breakdown with the Red Sox: $40m in each of the next three seasons, with some of his salary deferred each year. Opt-outs in the contract.

@k_walnation3 If Boras can get Bregman $40M/yr today, he can certainly get Bregman a deal worth over $50M in 3 years. Boras is REALLY good at what he does.

People thought Juan Soto might get a little over $600M. Scott Boras got him $765M. People thought $30M/yr was too much for Alex Bregman. Scott Botas got him $40/M. Tarik Skubal is a Scott Boras client. What should the Tigers do with him? #BChapSportsPoll

Alex Bregman has agreed to a 3yr, $120M deal with the Red Sox. He will not be a Tiger. Should the Tigers have matched that deal? #BChapSportsPoll

3 things: 1) Scott Boras did it again! No one thought Bregman would get $40M/yr. 2) I'm glad Bregman is not a a Tiger. I didn't want the Tigers to overpay. 3) Tarik Skubal is still a Boras client and the Tigers can't extend him and won't overpay him in 2 years... SO TRADE HIM!

ESPN's Pete Thamel reports Ohio State is on the verge of hiring disgraced former Detroit Lions coach Matt "The Rocket Scientist" Patricia as their new defensive coordinator. On a scale of 0-10, how excited are you about this hire? #BChapSportsPoll
