It’s not just the period, it’s the ovaulation symptoms, the pms, the pre-period, intense migraines, suicidal ideation, nausea, extreme fatigue, fainting, painful breasts. We suffer the whole month every month, constantly in a phase of cycle and men can’t treat us compassionately.
Periods are extremely debilitating and affect women in ways we men can't even imagine so we men need to stop telling them they're exaggerating or making a mountain out of a molehill because it really is a major hindrance to their everyday efficiency. Empathy doesn't cost a dime

My therapist told me you can’t be ugly and you can’t be ‘fat’ you can feel those things but you can’t be them. Which is why I now say ‘I feel’ instead of ‘ I am’. Which honestly is a big improvement. I’m trying to distinguish feeling from reality. It’s difficult but I’m trying.
