@clozer81 “If implemented correctly” is doing a tremendous amount of work in that sentence. Look at AZ. The people who implemented the voucher system still say it was done correctly even after wrecking the state budget

@farantzos The state has added tens of thousands of public school students since 2019, but has not increased funding. Is it your opinion that we should invest in public education to improve it or simply eliminate it?

@farantzos Tell all the rural families without access to various private school options that taking their tax money for private school kids in the big cities is really a benefit. A majority of AZ’s voucher money went to the wealthier enclaves you mentioned

@cntryboy_55 Before Arizona broke the bank open to anyone wanting a voucher, they had a limited system for such cases and for students with disabilities that didn’t sink the budget. Texas Senate wants to start with the expanded version rather than the limited one AZ once used.
