It’s not to add a competitive game - I think most US sports fan understand All-Star games are fun seeing players play together who you can’t see normally.
It was a fundraising comment specifically for the football pyramid.
The biggest problem with an All-Star game isn’t scheduling (if the money’s right, time can always be found). It’s that, like with the NBA version, how would you make the top players care enough to make it genuinely competitive and compelling?
