I personally think that nailing automated slippage, gas fees and retry ux are the most important things for dex adoption to happen, which is why we spend gignormous amounts of time/effort trying to get these right despite a ton of difficulties. The other option is bot execution, which is of course also great (plus more options for fees), but it is my belief that having a more direct option is very important for users as well.
