We are devastated to be posting the passing of one of our young players Anton houghton. This is a sad time for family, friends and team mates. We would like to pass on our condolences to all who knew him Anton. He was well loved by the team and will be sadly missed by all❤️💛❤️

On Saturday, John, managed to perform CPR on a family member that was poorly. John managed to do this until paramedics arrived & managed save the individuals life. Hopefully she will make a full recovery

Who is John Willock you ask?
John Willock founded Barrhead Youth Football Club.
He started Barrhead Boys Club, as it was called then, in 1973.
The time he gave to the club and what he contributed was amazing, and he never took a penny. A true gentleman with an amazing legacy.

It was a well contested match with Barrhead coming out on top 2-1.

8 years ago this weekend - these young men became hero’s in Barrhead. They managed to lift the Scottish Cup for the first time in 30 years for a Barrhead Team. Many of the group as still good friends of Barrhead with a few of them also helping coach some on the younger kids ❤️💛

Sorry to post again, but again we have been the victim of a malicious fire on our pitch. It is getting harder and harder for our volunteers to continue providing sport for the kids in Barrhead and surrounding areas.
