What are DC’s iconic cocktails? I can only think of frozen drinks like The Green Zone’s mint lemonade, Cotton & Reed’s Cocomotion, Little Miss Whiskey’s Awesomeness, as well as Solly’s world famous margarita. Any others?

Obviously won’t name restaurant, but my husband, toddler and I were dining at a restaurant in DC and a very large rat jumped up on the booth, ran straight at my husband and crawled down his back. He screeched and ABANDONED our son in the booth with the rat a la Kyle Richards.

Almost never see paper straws in DC except chains or cap one/Nats park. I assume (naively?) straws at most DC bars/restaurants are agave or some other non-plastic legally compliant material, correct me if wrong
Well, probably not? D.C. banned plastic straws a few years ago, and it’s unlikely that any executive order could reverse local mandates. So that restaurant on Pennsylvania Avenue would still have to abide by the city’s ban.

New Good Company Doughnuts cafe in the former Newseum/current Johns Hopkins building that’s named after Mike Bloomberg at 6th and Pennsylvania NW is quite nice addition to area

Jokingly the NYC guy had cropped a pic of me and sent it to the DC friend “is this you”. Mind you it’s a white guy but does kinda looks like me in this pic. 3 hours later this guy walks in and runs into me

Guess they didn’t expect that many fans, 3 food concession stands open on 100 level, about 8 minutes of game time waiting. Didn’t order but they have a pretzel + beer combo that costs $1 more than buying them separately #math

Honestly more than I expected - reports make it seem that non-DUI pedestrian homicides don’t even get jail time
To close the loop on this: Today Curtis pleaded guilty to one count of reckless driving, and was sentenced to 90 days in jail with all but six suspended, to be served on weekends. Also: $50 fine, needs to complete a traffic safety program, can't drive without license.
