Ever worth making the point that whatever the quality of his advice - debatable - Mandelson has a long record of dubious associations and enforced resignations which makes him, if and when the Tories and their Press choose, an easy shitty stick with which to beat and daub Labour.
Johnson says that Starmer is being advised by Lord Mandelson who has a lobbying/strategic advice firm. Starmer: "I haven't heard a defence that ridiculous since my last days in crown court. It's called the shoplifters' defence. Everyone else is nicking stuff so why can't I?"
