We wanted to share a timeline of the events this year. Bandcamp United was formed by a collective of music lovers, and we are so proud of what we accomplished. We dearly appreciate all the support of our community. Support artists, always. Solidarity forever.

Additionally, we raised the amount of Epic Games paid health insurance through COBRA, which is paramount for our members who need continual healthcare. We also get to keep our computers, which has been very helpful for comrades who didn’t already have a personal device.

We’ve been so thankful for all the support you all have offered at every step of the way here, and if you are able to help now, well– imagine that thankfulness multiplied by a very large number. Solidarity forever.

Having a union in this moment allowed us to bring Epic Games to the table + negotiate over the terms of severance. We fought the status quo and demanded a more just agreement for our laid-off comrades. We are hopeful that it will allow those workers more security in their future.
