To all the new residents starting July 1: I spent my first day on call googling what I can do with an MD besides clinical work. It gets so much better, and the monumental personal growth you will experience is unparalleled. The days are long but the years are short. Best of luck!

Agree! In nephro the equivalent of this is being paged at 2am that a chronic dialysis patient is being admitted but doesn’t need dialysis until their next regular schedule. We really appreciate those that wait for AM for these calls when pt is stable!
Hey fellow docs. Why do we page each other in the middle of the night to ask questions that could wait till a human hour? I don’t think we hate each other. You are just trying to do the best work for your patient. But please, think about the possibility that I’m on call all wkend

Where is the reciprocation for Canadian physicians wanting to practice in the US?!
Incredible that this happens before Canadian trained physicians can freely practice in other provinces within Canada.
