Achaemenids, Seleucids, Parthians = BMAC New exciting paper (MA Amjadi et al. 2025) claims that historic groups such as Achaemenids, Seleucids & Parthians (500 BCE onwards) cluster closely with the ancestry patterns of BMAC (Gonur). This is a breakthrough finding!

This silver bowl is from one of the northernmost IVC sites, depicting a charging bull. However, this is not the typical Indian Zebu bull, but the western variety called Taurine. This clearly shows that Harappans were familiar with both kinds of bulls.
