has been all kinds of unpredictable.
Grateful for all the stories I got to tell and the colleagues who made it happen - let's do it again in 2024.

Now in Haifa:
Jewish and Arab citizens of Israel fill up the prayer room of a mosque to show solidarity with one another.
They told me they know they are a minority but a minority that they believe is calling for what the majority wants, peace.

When questioned about what evidence he has that Israel is abiding by international law in Gaza, the German Chancellor’s answer was “We ask” that Israel does so.
What’s happening in Sudan now has nothing to do with civilians.
They’ve been saying what they want since the 2019 revolution: no military rule.
It’s unfortunate that the international community did not listen.

Despicable.
Western embassies have evacuated without giving Sudanese people who were applying for visas their passports back.
Imagine being trapped in Sudan right now with no documents and being told we are “deeply sorry”.
That’s

@Johnny14472917
It was actually first published a couple of months ago, but I reposted it now to give context on the genocide Namibia’s government is referring to. It’s unfortunately a chapter in history that many, even in Germany, know little about.

A year ago today,

's civilian led sit-in in Khartoum was violently dispersed killing at least 100 pro-democracy protesters.
This sit-in was one of the most beautiful places I have been to ever, today we remember the victims and that justice has not been served.
UPDATE: After publishing our report about Marah and her family, one of our followers reached out to us and offered to fund her schooling for a whole year. She will no longer be a child bride.
Reporting in

this time I was treated with the utmost respect. Obviously things can change, but even at the heart of the sit-in I felt as safe as can be, thanks to the protestors themselves.

One of the biggest anti-government rallies since October 7.
Slogans like “impeachment now” and “Bibi is a criminal” fill the air.
After 16 years in power, people here tell me they no longer think Netanyahu is the right leader for Israel. Especially now.
A story I have been working on for a while is FINALLY out.
It’s about how Germany’s colonial legacy still lives within people in Namibia today - and a few other things.
