The biggest lesson I learned while scaling my company to $1.8 million a month is that 99% of gurus are wrong. You don't need: -to wake up at 6 am -to work while they party -to hit the gym every day religiously I would sleep in, code in bed, and then go out with my friends during the founding months of Cal AI. All that matters is that when you work, make it count.

This is really helpful! I will have a look today after work haha, I think my roadmap still involves auth0, but for the time being, simplifying my auth may have been the best choice for me. Also, was a lot of extra confusion with Next JS 15+ app router not being supported by the latest SDK, and having to use the limited beta docs for v4.x

@DanOnCall @auth0 have to check it out, I set up auth0 for protecting routes fine, but when it came to working with the Gmail API, getting an Oauth token from my user session in auth0 was an uphill battle, Simplified my auth to Google auth/nextauth and fixed everything in about a day,

TODO (will be logged) • very painful issue with @auth0 since switching from custom auth, "Send to Gmail" button API call doesn't like the OAuth token auth0 is getting (serverside issue, works exposed) • @GetStigg - implementation for pay-as-you-go pricing • add UI for @DeepgramAI call intelligence output • add storage of past transcripts for users
