All Autistics are human - not all humans are Autistic. Autistic characteristics are human characteristics & not deficits - just differences demonised in a bid to purge society of ‘undesirables’ & lighten the ‘burden’ on society. Embrace Neurodivergence - accept neurodiversity.

@PaulaMc007 Aww I’m so sorry Paula. This sounds truly awful. Maybe you’re autistic too and so your interperception doesn’t let you know when you’re really unwell because that’s what I struggle with. I had sepsis & didn’t realise (many years ago) get well soon xxx

Do you think Deaf people can listen? Answer: yes because all humans listen with their eyes - non verbal communication accounts for over 80% of total communication. Just because some humans can hear doesn’t mean they are listening. This might sound a little off topic but let’s place this in the context of blind people who listen to books or tactile communication such as Braille or Moon & apply the same principle.

Accessing support: I can categorically state I was traumatised by the myriad of systems who we are conditioned to believe protect us - yet experiencing their corruption, gaslighting, and deception totally blew a fuse or two in my circuit board

@Normanjam67 Exactly. Then in 3 years or 5 years they ask you again to prove your struggles. Under the equality act 2010 disabled people are the only protected characteristic who have to justify their protected characteristic.

@DrNeilStone I am 100% Autistic and was not vaccinated as a baby because of severe eczema. I’m 46.

@DrNeilStone My response: Gravity existed long before we discovered it! The more important question imo is: What causes ignorance?

Privilege is a luxury and not a right (Winder, 2024).

For me it’s more about the loss of an identity because I didn’t have the time or space to safely explore how my brain works with likeminded folk. Then add to that the complex trauma from verbal and nonverbal communication - shaming me into subjugating my true shape so that those who had the luxury of being accepted didn’t have their comfort disturbed.
