I didn't say anything about that dogma and it's effect on salvation. The early Christians were what we now recognize as Eastern Orthodox. The divisions that led to the separation of the Roman Catholic Church and the Coptic Church came later. In the beginning, the Church was one, preserving the apostolic faith as received from Christ and His disciples.

What I'm talking about is the teaching of the original Church, the one Christ promised the gates of hell would not prevail against. That's literally the Eastern Orthodox church we have today.
