Turns out, this isn't much of a consideration. The Zen bug tracker shows that Vimium users are taken seriously, and their bugs are fixed (extensions appear to work fine). But nowhere is there a plan for native support for this (obviously superior!) way of navigating the internet.

@DjiBee For the record, I can read French 🙂 (and write, and speak, and occasionally (not occasionally) rant and/or ramble). But I'm not following you, these are clearly all forms of the same root, namely the “comprimo, comprimere, compressi” verb.

This investigation doesn't have a satisfactory ending, apparently. There seem to be these two confusing forms because some proto-italic speaker, 3000 years ago, thought it sounded cooler that way, I guess? 6/6
