If you choose to apply multiple products, especially herbicides in one tank, always test the ratio with approximate water volume in a jar test. Don’t be tempted to tank mix too many pesticides in one application.

Dollar spot has been slow to develop along much of the east coast due to drought & low relative humidity. However, recent rain and a changing weather pattern will cause dollar spot to appear soon. Make sure preventive applications/re-applications are on the ground by mid-week.

With recent rainfall in the upper mid-Atlantic/Northeast, a flush of crabgrass has emerged, especially in voids where turf has been thin due to drought. Q4 Plus Herbicide is most effective when applied with ample soil moisture before crabgrass reaches the 2-3 tiller stage.

It has been extremely dry in the upper Mid-Atlantic & Northeast (see NWS data). While weeds may present themselves, broadleaf weed herbicide applications should only be made when adequate soil moisture and desirable turf growth occurs. #AskTurfExperts #PBIGordonTurf

Rollercoaster weather is back in the Mid-Atlantic/NE. If temp swings exceed 25 degrees in 24 hrs before/after application, use caution w/ TZone as temporary tip bronzing may occur due to sulfentrazone. Bronzing will go away in 1-2 mowings, or consider SpeedZone as an alternative.
